The Battle in the Ville Story
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
Founded in 2011, in the heart of Collierville, TN by Carl Swearingen, the heartbeat of the, then named tournament, Battle On The Greenbelt, was to offer a tournament that would help grow the sport of lacrosse, encourage sportsmanship, invite other teams to experience all that is Collierville and to enhance competition amongst Middle and High School girls. Now, 15 years later, with a name change to Battle In the Ville, the tournament continues to grow and draws teams from all over the southeastern part of the United States.
